What happens to my balance if I delete my account?
With cash in your account, you get a seven-day grace period to withdraw. Acorns and bonus cash are forfeited.
If you have a cash balance
Your request starts with a seven-day grace period. Use it to withdraw what you want to keep.
Deposits you have not played yet do not need to be played through first. They are refunded to your original payment method.
If your balance is $0
Your request goes straight to review.
What you lose
- Acorns
- Bonus cash
- Your display name, history and Tower progress
Changed your mind?
You can cancel the request during the grace period or while it is under review.
Timing
Deletion is completed within 30 days, counted from the end of the grace period if you had one. We email you when it is done. After deletion you cannot create a new account for 30 days.
Some records, such as transaction history, are kept in anonymized form because the law requires it. See our Account Deletion Policy.
