Prizes can count as taxable income, and you are responsible for any taxes you owe.

When we ask for your details

When your net contest winnings in a calendar year reach $2,000, the federal reporting threshold for 2026, we ask for your Social Security number or ITIN. We then send you a Form 1099-MISC for that year.

If we need your details and do not get them, federal rules may require us to hold back part of later payments.
