What do I need to verify my identity?
A valid government-issued photo ID and your phone's camera for a quick selfie. Most checks finish in minutes.

Have these ready
- A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport
- A well-lit spot for a selfie
- Camera access for the Deku app
How it goes
- Start a withdrawal, or open verification when the app prompts you.
- Take photos of your ID.
- Take a short selfie. It is compared with your ID photo and checked to make sure a real person is present.
- Submit.
Most checks finish within minutes. If ours needs a manual review, it can take up to five business days, and we email you if we need anything else, such as proof of address.
Tips for a smooth check
- Use the ID's original, not a photocopy or a screenshot
- Keep all four corners of the ID in the frame, with no glare
- Remove hats and sunglasses for the selfie
- Make sure the name on your ID matches the name on your payment methods
